About Ewing Township

Ewing Township is a small suburban community on the Delaware River in Mercer County New Jersey. It is approximately 15.6 square miles in size and has, as of the 2010 Federal Census, 35,790 residents.

By the definitions of the Grow Local Food Movement, Ewing is food insecure. There are no farms left in Ewing, with the exception of the state run Jones Farm (a dairy operation.) The means for Ewing residents to obtain fresh local food is limited to what is available is local supermarkets. Other resouces, such as the Trenton Farmers Market, Terhune Orchards, Cherry Gove Farm, and others lie outside of town in neighboring townships.
